Earl Poole

I began my journey with the airbrush back in 1984, when I was 14 years old. In those days we didn’t have any instructional videos, books, or magazines. One was either fortunate enough to know someone who was willing to teach the trade or had to spend many hours of trial and error teaching oneself. The later was true for me. After about a year of investing my after school hours trying to master this unfriendly, yet intriguing little paint gun we know as an airbrush, I landed my first  job and would become the youngest airbrush artist on Panama City Beach. That was 25 years ago and I’ve been airbrushing ever since. During this span I’ve had the privilege of working with many of the nations top airbrush talents, including Mark Rush, with whom I began my acquaintance in 1986.

Being the restless artist that I am, I’ve paralleled my airbrush career with various forms of art from watercolors to oils. Painting in oils, “en plein air” (painting on location from life and without the aid of photography) soon became my other passion and is now what I divide my time between. You can learn more about my fine art by visiting my website at www.figlinski.com.
